ArtLoft has earned the tagline as "the best creative living space in St. Louis." Originally built in 1927, the structure underwent its first massive overhaul in 1998 when it was converted into 63 loft apartments with a theatre on the ground level, providing massive live/work spaces for the working and aspiring artist. Even the smallest ArtLoft unit is large by any standard (1200 square feet), and the larger units are very large, 1800 to 2100 square feet. As of 2018, Lux Living revitalized the common spaces, rooftop, and units with a modern renovation.
